We have a collection of exquisite hand-woven Oriental & Persian rugs. Including our private collection consisting of Modern, Tribal, Traditional, Contemporary, Silk, Wool. Rare pieces in hundreds of colors & patterns from scatter to palace size.
How It Began
Born from a Passion for Craft
Modern & Classic Rugs was founded on a simple belief: that a truly great rug is not just a floor covering — it is a work of art, a piece of living history, and an heirloom in the making.
Our founder spent years traveling through Iran, Turkey, Morocco, and Central Asia, building relationships with master weavers and learning to distinguish the extraordinary from the merely beautiful. Those journeys are the foundation of every rug we carry.
Today, from our showroom on East Broad Street in Westfield, NJ, we bring that same discernment to every customer who walks through our door.

How We Source
Direct from the Weavers
We travel to the source. Our buying trips take us to the workshops of Kashan, the bazaars of Tabriz, the villages of the Fars Province, and the ateliers of Hereke — wherever the finest work is being made or preserved.
We work directly with master weavers, established dealers, and private collectors. No middlemen, no auction-house markups. Just honest relationships built over decades, and rugs selected with uncompromising standards.
